Everything as expected with the presidential race

According to the Lower Administrative Court, Egypt’s presidential elections will not be cancelled as “Tantawi can rectify situation by re-announcing elections” reassuring that the last word must be coming from the SCAF!

Tonight the first presidential debate in the history of Egypt will be televised on OnTV and Dream Tv at 7:30 pm between Abolfotouh & Moussa.

The number of Egyptians living abroad is estimated to be between 8 and 10 million people. 586,000 are registered to vote at embassies and consulates and the voting willl start tomorrow Friday despite of the Administrative Court’s ruling according to the ambassador Ahmed Ragheb. I’ll have to add that getting the right to vote was through our campaigning through social media like Twitter and Youtube then through Hisham Mubarak’s centre helping us suing the government and winning our right to vote from abroad.

The Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission (SPEC) decided not to ban Mubarak’s former prime minister Ahmed Shafik from running for the presidential race as “SPEC has no legal right to refer the Disenfranchisement Law (Isolation Law) to the Constitutional Court in order to determine whether it is constitutional or not”.
